The Annual Report gives no joy for stockholders, particularly comments like "no profits for the foreseeable future".
In technical terms, the company is insolvent, with current liabilities far exceeding current assets.
There is virtually no cash in the bank as at the balance date.
Further, the shares have seen even more dilution, as this is the method by which the company raises funds.
With a deficiency in shareholders funds of well over 20 million dollars, it will take years to move into surplus, even if profits are made.
The whereabouts and name of the manufacturing facilities remain unknown except to the chosen few.
You may have noticed recently that millions of fingerprint records were hacked. While this may not at present indicate a threat to SMME's security offering, advances in technology can never be underestimated. If a card is inserted into a reader, then it can be read by others with dis-honorable intent. If the US Defense Department can be compromised, draw your own conclusions.
