Erm... simplest way to look at it is this: If the RSI actually told you anything, or gave you an real-world advantage in the market... it would have never been published. Someone would have just made millions off of using it quietly.

Actually, studies on the RSI show it is slightly less effective than a coin flip. Meaning predictions based on the RSI underperform just a random guess more often than not.

People use it - because they believe in it and if enough people believe in it you can make it true. Or, at least 25 years ago that was the case. But, not in today's market where algorithms handle 80+% of the trades.

There is a lot of consolidation going on in this stock. Whether it goes up from here if it bleeds further I can't tell you but people are gathering shares for themselves.

Now, all the technicians can yell at me. Which is fine.
