There are no changes to the completed status of any commitments. They were not changed in this amendment. I think BigE found the change to be the minimum royalties due in 2019, from $53.1 mil to $3.1 mil.

Licensee shall demonstrate a working model of a thin film quantum dot solar cell product using Rice Intellectual Property by April 30,2010. This working model shall achieve 6% efficiency at a manufactured cell cost of <$1.50/Watt,and have a consumer warranty regarding product lifetime performance comparable to existing photovoltaics. COMPLETED

They had a functional 6% solar cell in 2010. Hmmm, that's very interesting! With the addition of thick shells and improved qdot performance, I would think they could have increased this efficiency on the order of 50-400%. Who knows? We've not heard anything since early 2014 on thick shell performance improvements that LANL announced.

I'd really like to know how thick shells can or have improved conversion efficiency. Has anyone run across any more recent research in which they used thick shells in a solar device?
