Ace, do you seriously believe that even the Bush administration would allow MS to buy Adobe at this stage? Can't see it.

And why on earth would MS want SGI? They might get some programmers out of it, but in the behind-the-scenes fine print with vendors like Dell and HP, I suspect there's a non-compete clause when it comes to MS selling hardware platforms.

If memory serves, I think SGI has a lot of gov't/military contracts that MSFT might not want to take on as well.

Just my two cents.
