Some support if possible.

Been an avid apple fan since 84. Like most of you, I have been through most of the mac iterations, most of which were enhancements though a few were a bit weak (the Sunkiller was the highlight). I have been able to keep my department mac based during all these years. Not a lot of them but I have been able to keep from the darkside (even though I have to have a PC in the office for D&B and Bank communication).

But times are putting a lot of pressure on me. The 120 non-macs have all been replaced in the past 2 years. Almost all of them cost a lot less than the current price of G4s (let alone the new G5s). All of them are maintained by four IT personnel. If my PC acts up, I just send in a request and get bakck to work. If it is on one of my macs, I am the one to correct the problem (even though it has always been easier).

The problem is that OSX is a bit more complicated to maintain and time is a strain on me. How can I keep from giving in to the Siren Call and stay the course.

Your thoughts and whips are welcome.
