Day-Traders are businesses treated like a small business.
Day-Traders do not always have to sell out ever day (no rule on that)
Day-Traders normally do a large volume of trading.
IRS accepts Day-Traders as small businesses. ( with the proper IRS filings)
Day-Traders can hold a stock long, answer yes.
Day-Traders can sell in mil.seconds, yes.

Investors are individuals that only use Schedule A for deductions.
Investors manly rely of interest, dividends, capital gain etc.

Both are investors in the family of INVESTING. One is a business and the other a individual.
