Summary
Mr. Burhanpurkar has over 33 years of experience founding and managing technology companies as well as dealing with the highest levels of global corporations and governments including American and Asian Heads of State and CEOs. He was a pioneer in the field of autonomous mobile robotics. He founded Cyberworks in 1982 where he led a team to develop the world's first autonomous robot with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) in 1984 and was among the first to publish a series of papers in peer reviewed journals on the topic as early as 1987. He systematically built Cyberworks into a world leader in robotics research and manufacturing with worldwide sales and strategic partnerships with academia, NASA and several multinational corporations. In 1998 he began to diversify the company into ERP Consulting Services and around 2010 further diversified into mobile video conferencing technology. The company continues to innovate and lead the field of autonomous mobile robotics and mobile videoconferencing.

He has been an internationally published researcher in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Sensors, Autonomous Mobile Robotics, Machine Learning and Biomedical Engineering. He has been a keynote speaker at the American Association of Artificial Intelligence Annual Convention, a session co-chair at US Dept of Defence conferences on Autonomous Warfare, a Peer Reviewer and Session Chair at the Society of Manufacturing Engineer’s “Fifth World Conference on Robotics Research”, and a winner of numerous awards such as the International CES Innovation award.

He served as Managing Director of CRS Robotics, a TSX- listed multinational robotics company with over 200 fulltime staff and, within six months of joining the company, expanded its market presence across Asia
