Vexari: all of SigFraud's "works" on group psychology was taken from Le Bon. Hitler understood what was in The Crowd and used it. One of the principles is that it is easier to persuade a group of people than an individual; the several members of the crowd suborn his/her unconscious mind to that of the crowd.

Think tanks have underwritten projects at places such as MIT. One such work was called, "Mass Persuasion; Brainwashing." I believe the name Crain or Crane was associated with it.
