IMO- Even in the event of a total ban at the federal level on anything cannabis based there is still a need for the breathalyzer. In the event of legalization, marijiana would still be regulated and the breathalyzer needed at roadside by law enforcement or employers operating in hazardous conditions/sensitive areas, schools etc.

Laws be what they may, it's a product for the times.
