Ridiculousness is the norm in government agencies. I think problems have been exacerbated by the claims that Dr. Carter has made in regards to Ampligen... however the doctors that I've talked to say there is evidence to those claims. I think the fact that out of the thousands of patients treated with enormous out of pocket cost that the drug has not been proven safe.
