Granite is most likely near gold.



Do you just throw stuff and hope it sticks? Placer gold will be concentrated as it settles closer to bedrock. Granite is all over the place and is one of the most common rocks in the world. It can run deep or on the surface and it's no more an indicator of gold than sand.
