A reason could be they were asked by their distributors ( resnick, maybe marathon or any one else they have agreement with)....

They might have asked them to lower their presence to the "end user" ( consumer) so people will buy from the distributor and not directly from the manufacture

I might be way off but that's a reason I could think of...
