with market makers its pretty hard to tell sometimes, lately its seems to me they trade the micros with no regard for what the real share structure may be... they just sell into volume on the ask, and short it back to cover on the way down when buying volume dries up. and the only time they get in trouble is when overwhelming buying volume, usually on big news, precipitates relentless buying on the ask... and they get forced to cover higher instead of lower.
