Mr. Daniel F. Carlson, also known as Dan, served as the Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary at American Sands Energy Corporation from February 16, 2012 to June 30, 2015 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Carlson served as a Co-Manager and General Partner of Strategic Alliance Capital, a fund dedicated to Alternative Public Offerings and PIPE transactions. Mr. Carlson served as a Managing Director at BayStar Capital, where he served as the Head of Trading from 2004 to 2006. He served as the Head of Trading/Analyst at Azure Capital Partners from July 2000 to December 2001. From 1995 to 2000, he was a Senior Trader for RCM Capital Management, where he specialized in trading small cap securities. From 2001 to 2002, he served as the Head of Trading at Husic Capital Management, where he assisted in managing several billion dollars of pension fund assets and assisted in the management and risk management of hedge fund products. He served as the Head of Trading at Coyote Capital from 2002 to 2004. He served as a Director of Colombia Energy Resources, Inc. since May 28, 2010. He served as a Director of American Sands Energy Corp. since April 4, 2011 until June 2014.
