Right now the state of the trend is DOWN so TVIX can easily be held until that changes.
It will likely change next THURSDAY 9/17 if the Fed puts off a rate hike until Oct; that should cause a short sharp relief rally. Until the market realizes that the economy blows then watch out below as we plumb new lows.

If the Fed comes out with surprise QE & you're in TVIX get out as fast as you can even if you lose money.
