FIRST TAKE: The Future Inflation Gauge (FIG) for the U.S. fell to 115.2 in June, the fifth straight decline in the index. The index is designed to anticipate cyclical swings in inflation, and June?s reported number indicates an ongoing decline in inflationary pressures. Elsewhere, the European FIG increased in May as increases in Spain and Italy offset another decline in the German index.
