@Fung - agree whole heartedly that buying on the way up is better then catching a falling knife.

I don't believe that OPEC or any other countries think they can substantially hinder the U.S. Market it's largely a game of market share. They don't want a repeat of the 80s where they cut, lost market share and everyone else increased. The U.S. Market is and always has been very resilient.

Rebalancing has to come at the hands of global declines, the U.S. alone is not enough with only ~4% of global production. Global declines are 5% and without new investment it will rebalance itself starting in 2016 although slowly.

Of course as they say, the cure for low oil prices is low oil prices. Demand grows at 2%+ and PDP is starting to roll over.
