I think that is the plan, Sara, to return the revenues to the states and let them decide what is best. Dumbie down the public schools and get vouchers for private schools so that we return to the defacto state of the early 60s. They are merely shifting the tax base into a fee based system similar to the property based school system where the more you pay the better off you are. I think they are doing everything they can to turn the US into a third world county, replete with more and more wealth being held in the hands of fewer and fewer people. The people who scream about bilingual education in this country are the same people who moan about immigrants. Yet they are the same people who benefit the most from the low wages this unskilled workforce provides. Real wages for this group of workers has not improved at all in the last 40 years. While just in the last decade the wealthiest among us have seen their compensation triple. Get with the plan Stan...

I can't understand why anyone supports this. It will hurt the Middle Class I think the most in the long run as they will bear more and more of the costs of paying for the government. While more and more wealth is passed untaxed from one generation of the wealthiest to the next.

And since tomorrow is Independence Day I think it is high time we all reflect on the fact that less than 25% of the eligible voters in this country elected the last President, and in that election the majority of the people voted for someone else. Some people may support George the Second but something is seriously wrong here.
