Patent question has been addressed here for anyone that is interested:

"We have issued and patents pending. Patents pending are in process and under legal advise we have been counselled not to discuss. One well known patent owned by SmartMetric is referred to as the "464" patent. This patent is an over arching patent that covers the use of a smart card (card with a chip such as an EMV chip). This patent has been upheld as a valid patent and has survived 2 separate Markham hearings. It has also survived motions of invalidity. So we have a valid patent that I'd very much enforceable. I will not go into at this point in time what legal enforcement strategy that is available to us but there are serious options before us. Coming out of 4 years of patent litigation against one of the largest law firms in the United States we are confident we are aware of all patents in our field. We are protected from a technology IP point and have already demonstrated our capacity to enforce our patent protection."
