The cost of being an OTCQB and SEC reporting company has skyrocketed in the past few years with numerous companies that are choosing pink reporting and alternative reporting routes. For example new XBRL requirements cost an extra many thousand dollars per year. Congress passed legislation to eliminate it for companies that have market caps of under $50 million. Still has to go to the Senate. The market maker moves from Finra's OTCBB to OTC markets OTCQB cost a lot of funds and was an additional burden for small OTC companies.
