From what I'be read, there is no such thing as "FDA approval testing" for dietary supplements. It's still the wild west, unless you label your product a beverage (Dr. Moran of DEWM fame learned that the hard way)

In other words, this testing is self imposed. Probably to authenticate the safety and purity of the ingredients and recipe. There are organizations that do this testing and put their stamp of approval on the label, but not the FDA to my knowledge.

Legal probably advised the guys that this was a wise step with all of the attention and endorsements. The PR tomorrow may mention this in conjuction with an amazon date. That would be a good pr imo.
