Heres a timeline from what I gather, and I think I figured out when letter 2 was written:

Disclosure: its a long one but I had to write it out to figure it out. all IMO, but to me it makes sense. let me know what you think.

August 24th:

High Performance Beverage Co. Announces First Successful Production Run and Start of Pre-Order Sales for Their High Performance Sports Drink

..they wouldn't know it was a 'First Successful Production Run' unless the run was complete, so this run was completed AUGUST 24th.

the message on TBEVs website that we got on September 5th says:

Upon the completion of our first production run, required samples of our High Performance Sports Drink were immediately sent out by Southeast Bottling to an independent laboratory in charge of the various testing procedures mandated by the FDA for all supplements deemed a dietary supplement

to me, this means that immediately after AUGUST 24th, TBEV sent the product out to be finalized. so Southeast Bottling probably got the samples on the 24th or 25th.

TBEV was told it would take 'X' amount of days to complete the testing.

We then added several days to that date (date X), in order to give ourselves enough of a buffer to facilitate an assurance of our sales launch date (September 5th)

However, we were just recently contacted by our co-packer Southeast Bottling Company concerning a delay in one test

'recently' is up to interpretation. but I would think if the samples were sent out on the 24th/25th, they were probably at Southeast Bottling for several days.

although we don't have actual dates on those letters, they did slip something in there for us:

letter 2 says:

good morning mike, hope your weekend was good

so letter 2 was written sometime after the first production run's success on august 24th and after a weekend, which makes letter 2 more than likely written on a Monday after the 24th, which would make letter two written Monday august 31.

letter 2 says,'both sets of tests takes around 2-3 weeks'
letter 1 says, "at least one test wont be completed until 9-9-2015'..

the confusion sets in because I BELIEVE what is happening is that they switched the letters around. I think letter 2 was written first and THEN letter one.

so it would look like this:

august 24: first production run a success.
august 24/25: TBEV sent the product out to be finalized
August 31: Letter 2 was written (really its the first letter written) telling TBEV two tests will take 2-3 weeks.
a few days passed from here, letter 1 (really the second letter) tells TBEV 'at least one test wont be completed until 9-9-2015'.

so, to me, this means that if the testing started on the 24th/25th, the testing should be done either September 7th or the 14th.

this coincides perfectly with their upcoming PR release:

Monday Sept. 7th, we plan on determining a new sales date and will release that date through a press release slated for Wednesday September 9, 2015.

..TBEV is waiting to see if the tests will be done on the 7th. THATS WHY theyre going to determine a new sales date on the 7th. On the 9th, we're going to get a PR. That PR is going to tell us whether or not they were told on the 7th that the testing was complete, or if they need another week. if the testing was complete, the PR will say the amazon store will open either Saturday the 12th or the 19th.

if the testing needs one more week, the PR will say the amazon store will open Saturday the 26th. in other words, the store will be open well before the end of September.

-sticky this and lets see if im right. Either the 12th, 19th, or 26th of September the amazon store will open.
