$PVSP Welcome to Skolex Biotechnolgies Dr. Kenneth Hughes Founder CEO
At Skolex Biotechnologies we are committed to developing technologies and methods that will allow us to recycle the waste streams of modern life into products that allow our soils to thrive and provide maximum productivity. By doing so we can reduce the use of fossil fuels, synthetic fertilizers and other "chemicals of convenience" that have damaged our soil, water, and air.

New Latin scolic-, scolex, from Greek skolek-, skolex worm; akin to Greek skolios crooked, skelos leg

Note: from SS1, I really like this operation run by Dr. Hughes, Chief Science Officer for Pervasip Corp (PVSP).
It wouldn't be to big of a stretch to see him partnering with COORS in Denver to get their waste to convert to this product.
1. Helps COORS keep the enviroment clean.
2. Provides for a revenue stream for PVSP and Skolex.

OUR TECHNOLOGY
We design and operate above ground, enclosed worm vessels for waste treatment. These proprietary systems allow high densities of worms to be housed in an optimum environment where oxygen, moisture, temperature, and lighting are controlled so that the waste transformation rate is maximized. Systems operate on a flow-through principle with waste entering the top of the vessel and stabilized transformed materials exiting the bottom of the vessel.

Flexibility
Waste treatment systems are modular and highly portable allowing operations to be initiated quickly, and with minimal capital cost. Modular systems provide great flexibility when working with seasonal waste streams, irregular waste streams, and remediation efforts. Modular systems allow operations to scale up and down as factors affecting the waste stream change. Skolex Biotechnologies systems can be installed inside or outside in rural or urban environments, and can make efficient use of space in unused warehouses and unoccupied buildings.

Operations
Skolex Biotechnologies’ earthworm waste treatment systems are the most cost effective and technically advanced available. We take responsibility for all aspects of waste treatment, earthworm processing, and the transformed waste materials (castings). Waste treatment can be completed on site, or off site with economics driving most decisions. We are willing to work with you as partners to transform your waste stream or completely independently by collecting or accepting your waste stream into our facilities.

Evaluation Projects and Proposals
We understand that earthworm technologies have minimal exposure in modern waste stream management and environmental clean-up efforts, even though their capabilities have been utilized for thousands of years.

We welcome the opportunity to participate with clients and partners in evaluation projects, and the preparation an implementation of local, State, and Federal Agency proposals for using our vermiculture technology. Skolex Biotechnologies’ staff have significant experience in preparing proposals and managing grants from many different agencies.

We list below a small number of possible waste streams and opportunities that can be addressed with Skolex Biotechnologies.

Existing Waste Streams
• Grocery & food stores
• Restaurants & food service
• Schools & residential institutions
• High moisture materials which are expensive to transport landfill
• High moisture materials with are difficult to combust
• Composting facilities requiring greater throughput, and more community “friendly” landscaping materials
• Green waste and recycling collection centers with supply/demand imbalances
• Pulp & paper
• Flyash
• Construction, stone & rock dust

Eviromental Consulting
We provide solutions and opportunities for our clients and partners, regardless of size. Skolex Biotechnologies owns, operates, and manages the worm technology for transforming organic wastes into organic fertilizers and soil amendments. Operations can be placed on-site, off-site, indoors, or outdoors. We can quickly evaluate each of these options with regard to space, economics, and regulatory issues and provide tailored strategic recommendations.

Staffed with engineers, PhD scientists, and seasoned project managers, Skolex Biotechnologies understands and has the capability to address a wide range of organic materials including food waste, animal waste, biosolids, and cellulose based materials. Cost-effective solutions are available for both urban and rural locations.

We consult in the following areas:
Soil Chemistry and Health: Understanding your soil needs and providing solutions
Vermiculture Installation: Harnessing the power of worms in your operation
Waste Management Strategy: Tailoring solutions that fit your needs
