Knowing that this device already exists is good to know for what GEAR has claimed to be a part of. It looks like making water out of thin air is real from what was on CNN:

I'm guessing that the company named in the CNN article above is not the company GEAR is referring to, but given how the article stated that based on the demand ...the World Health Organization reports that 780 million people don't have access to clean water and 3.4 million die each year due to water-borne diseases... this means that there is plenty of room for growth for more than one operations to become a part of providing services for the clean/potable water shortage.
I see GEAR entering this arena as there being more than just one automaker within the world. This could get very interesting as more is released.
