Except that only China has the strong incentives to actually move ahead and empower Bluefire to build and prove out the Fulton ethanol plant. They have a combination of much available cellulosic materials( including waste products),and a need for home-grown energy and other chemicals available from cellulosic-derived sucrose.

They probably also are aware that GS Caltex in Korea should by now be successfully in production using Bluefire's technology, although that is not being openly discussed.

So, with the DOE closing their doors to new energy grants by the end of September, the Chinese will have even greater incentive to assist in the move forward in renewable energy development using Bluefire's concentrated acid hydrolysis technology.
