sumisu: the problem was that my garden was on rented land. The last year of it, I spent more time harvesting than anything else, as living soil and ecology ran the show for me. I had invested a great deal of time and energy developing a chinampas garden down in the swampy meadow. Here's its early development:

Here's from my garden:

A close friend took the videos.

Ground covers which attracted bumblebees ran between rows. You will notice one of my toad homes in the garden. You got to see my composting operation. In the wood line, I had attracted yellow jackets. I made kestrel perches in various trees around. Various plants which would attract scarabs, such as Japanese Beetles, had long been eliminated from the area. The sole pest was one Tomato Horned Worm. As I reached for it, I noticed that Braconid Wasp larvae were already on the job. I saluted them and said, "Hasta la vista, baby." to the THW.

"Keep your state off of my body"
"When in doubt, empty the clip."
