Exactly. You got my point. MM's are pretty much creating the effect a large short seller would have.
The bigger point to be made here is that an individual, say BE, is not responsible for all the bogus shares out there.
By the way, I was at that shareholders meeting and can vouch for the fact that brokers statements were required by the scrutineers. It was fairly thorough in establishing a rough count of shares, enough to demonstrate the existence of a vast number of airshares.
