The one thing that bothers me is that everyone knows you should never set a deadline. Not good. But for me, what's worse is who is involved with that deadline - the Chinese (provided there really is a jv). When I was doing mergers/acquisitions, the worse nightmare you could have was dealing with the Chinese. One of my partners was from China. Moved to the U.S. He told me first hand how difficult his people were to deal with. They want everything for nothing. They really feel we should be bowing down to them and thanking them for any deal. They look at business deals totally opposite of how we look at them.

What bothers me is that NGCG actually set a deadline knowing they were dealing with a Chinese company located in China. I can't tell you how fast a Chinese deal can fall through. You're about ready to sign the deal, and someone on their side yells 'Stop! Then it's back to square one. They will give you a headache every time.

Deadlines are very dangerous. Doubly dangerous with the Chinese. We shall see...
