Bob Dylan releases his classic "Highway 61 Revisited" album. The title track and "Like A Rolling Stone" are the standouts. 1965

The Beatles and Elvis meet at the latter`s L.A. home. By all accounts, an awkward meeting with John Lennon suggesting Elvis go back to Rockin` like he did in the `50s. Sound advice. 1965

The Beatles' manager Brian Epstein is found dead in his locked bedroom from what is ruled as an "accidental overdose of sleeping pills." John, Paul, George and Ringo are with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi when they hear the news. The Maharishi offers words of comfort dismissing the physical world as unimportant. 1967

And finally in concert news, Tantric kicks off their tour to support their sophomore album, "After We Go," in Cleveland. 2004

System Of A Down's Serj Tankian films the video for "Praise The Lord, Pass The Ammunition," a song from his debut solo album, "Elect The Dead." Directed by Greg Watermann the Hollywood shoot uses 200 people. "Serj says it's the craziest song on the disc," writes Watermann. "That's why he gave it to me." The album is released two months later (10/23). 2007

Staind's "The Illusion Of Progress" debuts at #3 on the Billboard 200. Despite moving 92,000 copies, it?s the first of the group?s last four albums not to debut at #1. 2008

Welcome to the jungle. Kevin Cogill, a 27-year-old blogger, is arrested by the FBI for leaking tracks from Guns N' Roses' long-overdue "Chinese Democracy" album online. Cogill is taken into custody at his home in Culver City, CA, on "suspicion of violating federal copyright laws." 2008

Rage Against The Machine headline the Tent State Music Festival To End the War during the Democratic National Convention. 9,000 people attend the show at the Denver Coliseum. Zack de la Rocha and Tom Morello also help lead a cross-city march to the convention site, where organizers present Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama with a list of demands. 2008

Four years earlier, Elton John blasted Madonna for lip-synching during her shows. Now, the two make nice in Nice (France) when they embrace onstage during Madonna?s show. So, that puts an end to the feud? 2008

One quarrel settled, another begins. Joan Jett launches a lawsuit against a former Runaways bandmate, Jackie Fox (aka Jacqueline Fuchs ?no kidding). Fox claims to own part of the group's trademark and is trying to block the movie, The Runaways, from being released. Jett initiates the legal action so the film can premiere on schedule. 2009
2010's The annual Leeds and Reading festivals get underway in England. Guns N? Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink-182 headline. The festivals mark the Libertines first performance (if you don?t count the ?warm-up? show at the Forum in Kentish Town a few days earlier) since their breakup in ?04. But the reunion is overshadowed by a GN'R snafu. The plug gets pulled on the group's Reading appearance. Not surprising, the GN?R set starts an hour late and the band becomes livid when they can't perform past the designated curfew. ?We would like to play a few more songs for you tonight, but someone is telling us the show's over,? says GN?R frontman Axl Rose. GN?R even attempts an acoustic rendition of "Paradise City" before resorting to a sit-in protest. "In regard to Reading we feel at the very least the fans deserve an apology from those responsible for the nonsense," Rose tweets. "We'd also like to thank the fans for being so great, singing along n' not tearing the place apart!" 2010

NASA and U2 release a commemorative video of their promotional collaboration. Expedition 20 astronauts aboard the International Space Station spoke with U2 several times before recording a video segment the band later incorporated into its 360? Tour concerts.
