That's not surprising given you're comparing a 1W ARM processor against a 35W Intel processor.

Also SPEC2006 should be quoted without libquantum which has been gamed with icc "auto par". This means that even the supposedly singled threaded score is allowed to make use of multiple processors which defeats the point of a single threaded benchmark.

The quoted ARM scores are most likely using Gcc which doesn't have autopar.

Another point - Spec2006 is incredibly cache sensitive and the Freescale implementation only has a 1MB L2 cache vs. the 2MB cache on the Intel processor.

Third point - the memory system is also a huge factor and the SPEC score from Freescale is a comms processor with a memory system tuned for comms and not general purpose computing.
