I strongly believe Neom will continue its position of silence until such time as the debt is completely repaid. Also, one of the recent articles mentioning CurrentC speaks to the likelihood it will be delayed until 2016, and this concerns me.
CurrentC has been delayed for a considerable period, and just as we begin receiving news of its upcoming launch, we see more potential delays.
Should the reason for these delays be an inability to get it right, we may see additional delays, or perhaps never realize revenues from their app. The question then becomes how much of Neom's future is tied to CurrentC?
While I would find it particularly difficult to believe YA would remain with Neom based upon all eggs being tied to CurrentC and that there must be a good deal more, we simply see nothing. Even my PayPal app, which I originally was under the impression utilized QR codes for Mobile Payment, does not appear to carry the functionality.
In short, I believe there is plenty of time. No need to toss endless resources into the fire. Perhaps we will find new articles in the coming weeks and months that will point us more appropriately.
Of course, as always, all of the above is merely one man's quess at a completely unknown future.
Best,
