That means one or combination of many things:

Managed
Overseen
Coordinated
Planned
Executed
Analyzed
etc...

Did you ever give it a thought that Peregrine wanted full control of the trial to assure a second Phase II recurrence does not take place?

If Astra trusts Peregrine to conduct a trial on it's behalf, where Astra has much more to lose (by setting expectations and not coming through with a differentiator against it's competitors) - why wouldn't this move be taken as a positive message?

Astra can cough up the several million dollars it takes for phase I/Ib in a sneeze without noticing it happened. They spend that much on a regional sales meeting.

And aside, nothing has been said about who is paying and, therefore, we may find out that Astra is paying and Peregrine is managing.

To me this is a very positive sign that should be appreciated. If I'm BP, I put out a notice that my key I/O molecule is going into combo trial with a non-name, and I let the no-name 'Conduct' the trial, then I trust the no-name not to screw things up on my behalf.
