"Real homeopathic medicines consist only of water, of course"
That is not what the article that you linked to said. Homeopaths explained that they used dilute quantities of different active ingredients to elicit a response to avoid toxicity. I'm not arguing that I support homeopathy, far from it, but only show that you took liberties with what they actually say.
"Only homeopathic medicines have no side effects"
Again, not what the article claims.

The actual point of your post was that if Sucanon were observed to have no side effects, you can be absolutely sure it has no therapeutic effects either, which is incorrect and a fallacy of logic. Sucanon was studied for efficacy and no side effects were observed in the trial, including some of the most concerning issues observed with other commonly used diabetes medications. Again, any medication has the potential for side effects. Based on what was reported in previous trials, no side effects were reported with Sucanon.
The whole homeopathic discussion is, of course, a distraction from the other claim that you can be absolutely sure that "no side effects"="no therapeutic effects" which is not scientifically sound. What is also true, of course is that you are entitled to your opinion on ROTH and Sucanon, that homeopathy is unsound or that I used an example of Zicam which was in appropriately claimed to be homeopathic.
The discussion that matters here is whether Sucanon is efficacious and whether it can be successfully marketed and sold. Based on the data presented in Dr Jiminez' study presented at EASD meeting in Barcelona and previous trial results noted on Pharmaroths website as well as data submitted to obtain approval for sale in Mexico and previously in Other South American countries, my opinion, as a scientist, is yes. I find it also compelling that Dr Jiminez, after noting his study results, made an investment in the company. That is, of course, putting money where ones mouth is so to speak. Others can, of course, interpret the studies and information for themselves.
