I understand that. Thing is. When I starting buying late last summer I believe I sold some after the split. On etrade you can chose what stock you want to sell if ya click on show tax lots. If not I guess it chooses automatically the oldest shares. I am assuming that since the oldest purchased shares are Nov 2014. Then I continued to buy shares this year. So if I am an owner since before the date. Even though I own a bunch of shares according to etrade the majority of my holdings came this year. Still before any divy announcement. Am I making myself clear. I had one response other than yours, so it seemed like me and him were on different channels.
