Re: MJ and Red Sun. It's my understanding that people aren't buying Red Sun because of XXII's MJ IP per se, but that people are using Red Sun cigarettes to make a high quality "spliff" (Tobacco/MJ cigarette). Which apparently is commonly done in European countries, where joints containing only cannabis are rarely smoked.

Also, back in July the N/L said they were hearing Red Sun sales are gaining traction, especially out west. Specifically mentioning CO, CA, and OR. WA/Seattle most likely also falls or will fall in to this bucket. They also heard retailers are saying that American Spirit customers are switching to Red Sun. And we know American Spirit had tremendous appeal with progressive Portland and Seattle smokers in it's early days, according to Ron Squires, Sales Manager for Rich & Rhine Distributors, per the XXII PR.

The interesting part here is that American Spirits are already a popular choice for spliffs because of the premium quality tobacco. Red Sun takes the concept one step further with high nicotine tobacco and super premium flax based paper. According to N/L these markets are potentially starting a trend and some may even be saying Red Sun is the "best cigarette in the world for spliffing". N/L also speculated retailers probably wouldn't mind informing customers of the Red Sun spliff story (given stock/high margin incentives). Not a stretch, especially in those states where MJ is legal IMO.

It could just be what Red Sun needs to really take off. And if you follow Red Sun on Twitter, it seems fairly obvious that XXII is aware of the trend.
RED SUN, green grass. #Summer2015

Branch out under the RED SUN. #Summer2015

The very best that America has to offer. Have you made the switch to #REDSUN?
