MEMPHIS, Tenn., Feb 13, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- ATWEC Technologies, Inc. a=
nnounced today the General Assembly of the state of Tennessee has proposed=
to amend laws that would require all child care transportation vehicles t=
o be equipped with a safety alarm system. The amended Section 71-3-502(d)(=
7)(C) would take affect on January 1, 2005 if passed by the General Assemb=
ly.


"We are getting strong reviews on the systems right now - we know it works=
", said Alex Wiley, the Company's CEO. "If the proposed legislation passes=
, we will be pushed to roll out our Kidde Voice(TM) systems throughout Ten=
nessee and beyond. We are confident that these proposed safety measures wi=
ll become the law."


Mr. Wiley indicated that the system is now recognized by Tennessee's Depar=
tment of Human Services, who are aware of the safety device and its usage =
over the past three years in various Tennessee school districts.


Specifically, the proposed amendment states that on or after January 1, 20=
05, all vehicles of a child care center providing transportation for child=
ren for the center shall be equipped with a safety alarm system, and that =
the system shall be ignition-based, and shall prompt the staff to inspect =
the vehicle for children before the alarm sounds. The Kidde Voice(TM) syst=
