Vault 51 and 52 Cyber Attacks

Bitcoinz USA's Vault 51 and 52 website came under a malicious attack yesterday from unknown parties. An attack that the company is describing as an attempt sabotage its Bitcoin business model. The company is currently investigating these attacks and is attempting to notify local authorities.

Moreover, the attacks continue to highlight the need for a secure Bitcoin defense system like Vault 51 and Vault 52. Vault 51 is an offline storage system for retail Bitcoin users which is represented by a copper Physical Bitcoin and Vault 52 is an offline secure storage for institutional Bitcoin users which is represented by a silver Physical Bitcoin. The electronic Bitcoin is then stored off-line in a secured computer chip known as Vault 51 and 52 and embedded in a Physical Bitcoin, which is not connected to the internet. This process is also known as cold storage and is done to avoid hacking, loss, or theft.

Additionally, the website is used to facilitate Vault 51, Vault 52 and Bitcoin purchases. However, Bitcoinz USA does not store Bitcoin online. Over the past year, the theft of Bitcoin online has represented over of $600 million USD in consumer losses. In the meantime, the Vault 51 and 52 website continues to remain offline while the company investigates the cyber attacks and simultaneously creates new security measures to avoid future cyber attacks.
