A bit of interesting background on Sonnebatterie, who have chosen Ideal's inverters for their residential BESS offering in the US.

...with about 8,000 systems sold in Germany and production running at about 100 to 150 systems per week, “we are extending our business model away from only selling hardware, and towards energy services,” CEO Christoph Ostermann said in an interview in San Francisco [in March 2015]. About 30 percent of its systems are already white-labeled by partners including utility RWE and solar manufacturer SolarWorld, he said.

And RWE, who buys white-labelled systems from Sonnebatterie, is a massive German energy company:

RWE is one of Europe’s five leading electricity and gas companies. Through our expertise in oil, gas and lignite production; electricity generation from gas, coal, nuclear and renewables; energy trading as well as electricity and gas distribution and sales; we are active at all stages of the energy value chain. Around 59,000 employees supply over 16 million electricity customers and nearly eight million gas customers with energy, both reliably and at fair prices. In fiscal 2014, we recorded €48,5 billion in revenue.
Europe is our market: in terms of sales, we are No. 3 in electricity and No. 5 in gas. In Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, we are among the largest suppliers of both fuels. We also have leading positions in other markets in Central Eastern Europe.
According to an internal RWE document revealed two years ago, the utility plans to transform its business from dependence on large-scale power generation to a capital-light, distributed energy model.

It would be nice if Sonnebatterie could replace their inverter partner in Europe with Ideal, too, since they are already up and running there, and have only just begun their US market entrance.

Nevertheless, the white-labelling (and/or IP licencing) opportunities for PPSA appear endless.
