FONAR Sells 48th Stand-Up MRI; Ninth Stand-Up MRI of 4th Fiscal Quarter

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 2003--FONAR Corporation (NASDAQ-FONR), The MRI Specialist(tm), announced today the sale of its 48th FONAR Stand-Up(tm) MRI scanner to a physician group in metropolitan New York area. It is FONAR's ninth Stand-Up(tm) MRI sale in the Company's 4th fiscal quarter. The sale, which was completed in mid June, is the 11th Stand-Up(tm) MRI sale in the state of New York. The Stand-Up(tm) MRI is the Company's leading Upright(tm) Imaging System.
