I disagree completely. You have made your position very clear.

I love how people attack a company for trying to overcome a malicious article that was filled with lies, which damaged the company.

It's kind of like telling a mugging victim that if they report the mugger, the victim is at fault.

EDIT: by the way, I feel fine saying that the article was malicious and filled with lies, because the defense against libel is truth. That article has no such defense.
