Mabye for a different turbine, or turbine section, or maybe a stationary blade--not for the high-pressure ROTATING turbine blade of an F110. No way--GE just got authorization from the FAA for the FIRST 3D-printed metal part of an engine, and it was for a sensor shroud, and it was a very big deal. Does anybody really think they're putting 3D-printed turbine blades on an F-110 jet primary compressor??? WHY do you think they used the term "SINGLE CRYSTAL"? That is a LONG way from the weldment obtained from the DMLM process.
