No it would not because the company is not buying the shares this week...ergo it is not a "buyback starting this week".

You are simply making a distinction as to the funding source for the buyback. A leveraged buyback is merely the company using "debt" to buy the shares. Only a company can "buyback" its own shares. No one else can...hence the only type of buyback is the one were the company itself buys the shares.
But let's follow that one along a little further...are you now suggesting that the "funders" are providing funding to the company so it can starting buying stock this week???
You appear to have held that the "funders" were buying the stock themselves?? (which...again...is not a "buyback")
