PCLN will be over $1500 by year end. Reason I'm bullish on PCLN is traveling bookings have increased tremendously. Priceline Group is the largest online traveling booking agency and before this earnings, Priceline is trading relatively low compared to its peers. Priceline's last 8 quarters are a beat on Wall Street's estimates. The company is operating at a positive cash flow. Generating billions in revenues. This thing is a solid buy/hold for your portfolio if you see what I'm seeing--which is the continuous travel bookings for the years to come. GLTYA!

Priceline Beats Profit Estimates on Higher Travel Bookings

Priceline Group Inc., the largest U.S. online travel agent, reported second-quarter earnings that topped analysts’ estimates, driven by higher bookings.

Profit, excluding some items, was $12.45 a share, Priceline said Wednesday in a statement. Analysts had projected $11.79 on average, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Total travel bookings, or the value of all services purchased through its websites, rose 11 percent.

Priceline, whose sites include Booking.com and Kayak, has struck partnerships and purchased companies to fend off competition from Google Inc. and Expedia Inc. The Norwalk, Connecticut-based company took a minority stake in startup Hotel Urbano in June, marking its first investment in Brazil. Last year, Priceline purchased restaurant-reservation service OpenTable Inc. for $2.6 billion and bought an almost 10 percent stake in Ctrip, China’s largest travel website.

Rival Expedia has followed a similar expansion strategy, agreeing to purchase Orbitz Worldwide Inc. in February. Expedia’s shares rose to a record on July 31 after second-quarter sales and profit topped analysts’ estimates.

For the third quarter, Priceline said per-share profit will be $22.95 to $24.45, excluding some items, while analysts estimated $23.32.
