I was sorry to see BLTA scratched from this year's "Thunder Over Michigan Airshow" at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan August 29th and 30th. Since the airplane is there already, you'd think at the very least BLTA would roll the plane out for tours and promotion. I really wanted to go and "kick the tires". Looks like BLTA doesn't want the public to see the plane anymore for some reason. IMO, BLTA should talk to the Yankee Air Museum about donating the airplane to the museum and get a tax write off. Maybe some nominal value there as a tax write off if the museum would even want it. But, being a no show when the airplane is right there at Willow Run is a wasted opportunity. BLTA should roll it out.
