Ibises International Installs First ``Sky Media Center'' for Lion Airlines

BREA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 1, 2003--

Sky Media provides in-flight high speed Internet, video, games, and live TV for the airline industry

Ibises obtained FAA STC certification for aircraft SkyMediaCenter
AMC-3000D system

Angela Holman, President and CEO of Ibises International, Inc. (OTC:IBSN) announced today that Ibises has completed the first installation and ground testing of its SkyMediaCenter AMC-3000D in-flight entertainment system.

The system was installed on a narrow body MD82 aircraft belonging to Indonesia based Lion Airlines. This is the first of seven aircraft to be fitted with the Ibises SkyMediaCenter AMC-3000D system.

In conjunction with the installation of the SkyMediaCenter AMC-3000D on the MD82, Ibises obtained FAA STC certification for that type aircraft. This successful installation and certification of the first SkyMediaCenter AMC-3000D will complete the contract obligation for the first system sold to Lion Airlines and will result in an immediate final payment for that system. The remaining 6 aircraft will be installed, as the aircraft are available. Lion Airlines has advised Ibises that it is considering installation of ten more systems, which have a contract value of approximately $2 million USD.

Ibises International also announced in April two contracts for a total of 10 aircraft valued at $3.5 million. One airline will install in-seat 8.4" LCDs to provide video on demand, audio on demand, games, moving map, shopping (optional), and built-in laptop computer at each first and business class seat. The other will be a simpler system composed of retractable 6.8" LCDs to provide distributed video system for a narrow body aircraft.

Ibises International, Inc. is a supplier of a proprietary in-flight media and security system. The SMC-3000 system provides a cost-effective way for airlines to provide in-flight video, games, Internet access and live TV. The SMC-3000 also provides security features for the passenger cabin via online cameras.
