Novarad Bringing NovaGlass Virtual Workspace to 400 Healthcare Facilities

Shift to virtual environment seen as a catalyst for greater security, compliance, streamlined clinical workflow and reduced total cost of ownership

Utah-based healthcare technology company Novarad is planning to provide workflow optimized virtualization from Sphere 3D Corp. to 400 healthcare facilities that currently use Novarad's healthcare software. By updating these facilities with NovaGlass, healthcare practitioners can benefit from full virtualization capabilities including refreshed radiology workstations, enhanced clinical workflow and greater mobility.

Healthcare requires fresh information technology (IT) approaches in order to keep up with today's requirements for improved patient care under diminishing budgets. Although IT is often turned to as a potential solution, it too frequently has the opposite effect. Many attempts at virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) deployments are often abandoned due to excessive deployment and management complexity for IT departments or lack of performance.

NovaGlass was designed in conjunction with Sphere 3D, and incorporates a number of new virtualization technologies aimed at delivering performance-driven, well-designed implementations of VDI.
