Well, I did not vote either Barrett nor Ruiz.

What I see since December is that AMD is delivering. The Barton chip is technically best what you can buy for a mainstream PC and it is delivered in volume. Partnership with nVidia keeps working and we see absolutely amazing chipsets coming in volume. What I don't see is enough customer demand.

I'd like to blame Ruiz but I don't know for what exactly. What exactly he failed to do to propagate the chips better down the industry?

Just few days ago he gave HP the powerful weapon to fight the entry-level corporate desktop market. If it works well HP will expand the line up to the $600-$700 range with Barton onboard.

The Opteron infrostructure starts building up. As Mageek said few days ago, by the end of July we will be bored by the volume of "yet another Opteron motherboard" review.

Ruiz made a partnership with IBM. He is trading manufacturing independence for cheaper R&D infrostructure. From that moment we can expect 65 nm to come at the schedule, same time with Intel.

Maybe I should blame Ruiz that he doesn't tour big corporations kicking them to buy more?
