July 24 (SeeNews) - US solar cell technology firm Solar3D Inc (NASDAQ:SLTD) said today it would build a 2-MW solar project at the Fresno/Clovis wastewater reclamation facility.
The deal is pending approval from the city council, the company said in a press release.
If approved, the solar power plant would involve an investment of USD 10 million (EUR 9.1m) and will be developed and built by MD Energy LLC, a subsidiary of Solar3D.
Freno's city council meeting to approve the scheme is scheduled for July 30, 2015.
The Fresno/Clovis regional water reclamation facility is a division of the city of Fresno and provides the municipality with wastewater treatment services.
