New here to Options.

I have about 50 shares of FB, however I'm interested in buying $100 FB calls for Jul 29.

Hearing a lot about naked options. Does this mean I actually need thousands of FB shares before I buy/sell the calls? My understanding is that this is only for writing new contracts, not just buying existing contracts available on Scottrade in my situation.

Orrrr should I just not touch options because I don't understand the risk...

Any help would be appreciated - thank you in advance.
