I guess I still am a rookie because I just don't understand the reasoning behind doing this when the share structure was already so low.

Call me an optimist (or an idiot) but could there be something going on that in the long term does positively affect share holders? Like any situations where this could actually turn out to be a positive even though our share count will have decreased so much?
